Thanks for visiting Misty River's website. The band is currently on a hiatus from performing, but we are working on editing our live DVD and compiling our best audio cuts from the concerts we recorded last June, so we hope to have some new recorded music to share with you before the holidays. Misty River has six concerts left in 2011, and we hope you will join us as we make live recordings of our "Farewell for Now" shows. Professional filmmaker Spence Palermo will film our concerts this weekend in Eugene 6/3 and Umpqua 6/5, and audio engineers Chris Bergstrom and Dale Adkins will record our concerts next weekend in Bend 6/10 and Ridgefield 6/11 (sold out) & 6/12. We hope after a little mixing and editing we’ll have some video and audio recordings to share with you this summer, including some of the unrecorded songs you have been asking for over the past several years. And one last note for those of you who are wondering: Laura's baby still seems happy hanging out in Laura's belly, so we don't expect any surprises over the next few weeks (she is due in early August), but we are wondering how that baby will feel about the bass after having a front row seat next to it over the past seven months!

After fourteen years and five CDs, Misty River is planning to take a break from performing and recording starting this July. We hope you will come out and see us during our last run of shows for 2011. Will we perform again after that? The real answer is we don’t know. We love singing harmony together, and that desire may bring us back for some concerts down the road, but starting this summer, we are going to let ourselves prioritize other aspects of our lives. It is a difficult decision, but one that will be good for all of us. To all our faithful friends and fans, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
